Awesome picure. Brings back memories of when I was a child growing up on the farm. My mother raised all sorts of chickens and roosters. I love the red color with the white chicken….its like she is almost walking on a carpet out of her home!!

Thanks Lisa and Kathy for your comments. It means a lot to me when people make time to share their reactions, thoughts and perspective. I hope you both got a chance to look at more photographs on MPR’s website. There is something special about the land and the people in smaller communities on both sides of the Red River that I’m fascinated by. Best, Ann
